August-September 2007
During
this period of time, I contributed both the September and October covers of
American Turf Monthly. On the left is
Rags to Riches
with jockey, Garrett Gomez, just after crossing the wire in the 2007, Kentucky
Oaks. The following month "Rags" won the Belmont Stakes, the first
filly to do so in 102 years.
On the right, the magazine chose to honor retiring jockey, Jose Santos,
with an image of him and 2003 Kentucky Derby winner,
Funny Cide.
The image on the right is my 87th cover image on this magazine.
The Grade I, Arlington Million was won by Canadian bred, Jambalaya. The race was also a "win and you're in" guarantee to the 2007 Breeders' Cup.

Pamela and Jim were married in their 1.5 acre backyard. Both are veterinarians, and their three dogs were dressed up as groomsmen and bridesmaids.
The circular image is the cover to their
DVD with their many images, all in high resolution, as they chose the option
of substituting the DVD for the proof book*.
